Fandom has all the exclusive details on an awesome new collectible reveal for Star Wars devotees, direct from its announcement at Hasbro PulseCon 2023. Recently, Star Wars: The Clone Wars fans were excited to glimpse another crucial character from Ahsoka Tano’s past in Ahsoka‘s fifth episode, during her flashbacks to the Clone Wars battlefield alongside Anakin Skywalker. It was a big deal too, because while brief, it was the first ever live-action appearance of Captain Rex during the episode.
If you’ve long imagined donning Rex’s signature white and blue Clone Trooper helmet, etched with tally marks of the Battle Droids he’s taken down during combat on its side and showing all the wear and tear that comes with a ton of combat, gets ready to be happy, because the latest wearable piece from Hasbro’s Star Wars The Black Series line is the CLONE CAPTAIN REX PREMIUM ELECTRONIC HELMET.
Rex, formerly designated CT-7567, was a veteran Clone Captain who served as second-in-command to General Anakin Skywalker overseeing the 501st Legion and also became a trusted friend and ally of Ahsoka as the Clone Wars continued. Fans worried about his fate were relieved to see his adventures continue later in the timeline beyond The Clone Wars in further appearances in animation in both Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars: The Bad Batch, where the great Dee Bradley Baker continued to voice him. And with Captain Rex now also solidified in live-action (voiced, like all of Jango Fett‘s clones in Live-Action are, by Temuera Morrison), a key part of his his gear can be yours.
The helmet features a rangefinder you can lift up and down to hear series-inspired sound effects, while pressing the left-side button distorts your voice to give your fellow Clone Troopers their commands. The helmet requires 3x AAA battery, which are not included.
The approximate retail price is $131.99 and the helmet will be available Spring 2024.
